• During their visit to Maryland in March 2008, administrators from Kamakura High School met with fellow administrators at Atholton High School. Kamakura is a former capital of Japan and popular
city in Kanagawa Prefecture.
Kanagawa High School Students at the Chesapeake Bay Children’s Museum
High school students from Kanagawa, Japan visited Annapolis in March 2008 and taught children at the Chesapeake Bay Children’s Museum about Japanese culture. The students made origami cranes with the children and read folk tales and traditional stories about Japan.
• Visiting high school students from Kanagawa Japan had their picture taken with Governor O’Malley on the steps of the State House in March, 2008.
