State Officials Welcome Iraqi Governors to Maryland

Eighteen Iraqi governors visited the Washington, D.C. area in October under the auspices of the U.S.
Department of State. While in Washington, D.C., the delegation met with high ranking federal officials,
including Secretary of State Hillary Clinton. The delegation also spent a day in Annapolis to become better
acquainted with the roles and responsibilities of state government and its relationship to the federal and local governments. |

• Maryland Secretary of State John McDonough accepts a gift from the delegation leader and Governor of Baghdad Province, Dr. Salah Abdul Razza. |
