INTERNSHIP OPPORTUNITIES
The Office of the Secretary of State of Maryland internship program gives students the opportunity to gain an understanding of the various responsibilities of the office.

The program is open to all exceptional (3.0 GPA or higher) undergraduate students who are Maryland residents and qualified foreign students with U.S. Student Visas (F1). The internship is based on a rotation throughout the different departments in the office including certification, charities, notaries, and the housing and condominium authority.  Interns will also learn about the role of international affairs under the Secretary of State and has the opportunity to attend related events as they occur. The program also provides an arena in which the intern may actively participate in the day-to-day operations of State government at all levels. Flexible work schedules are available. Internship appointments are generally made for the summer months.

There are no application forms, although applicants are required to furnish a cover letter, resume, and contact information for two references.
